What is Ortho-K?

Ortho-K for Nearsightedness

Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is the most common eye disease in the world, resulting from abnormal eye growth. All kids with myopia experience blurry far vision, but most parents don't realize that progressive myopia dramatically increases the risk of other serious eye conditions later in life, by stretching and weakening the retina. Glasses can treat the symptoms of blurry vision, but they do nothing to slow the abnormal eye growth. This is wear ortho-k comes in. Ortho-k can provide kids with clear, comfortable vision all day long, while ALSO stabilizing eye growth and returning it to healthy, physiologic levels.
